AbuseTrack started with a very practical problem: every day, new IPs attack servers, new domains are used for phishing, phone numbers are abused for scams, and email addresses send spam. If you run servers or defend systems, you see this kind of activity all the time. On your own, it is hard to tell quickly what is worth blocking and what others are already seeing.

A lot of useful abuse data is either locked behind expensive products or spread across separate lists and tools. AbuseTrack is meant to close that gap. Reports from people, servers and automated sensors are collected in one place and made publicly usable. Over time, that creates a shared picture of which infrastructure is causing trouble online.

AbuseTrack is not limited to one kind of indicator. You can report and look up IP addresses, domains, URLs, email addresses and phone numbers. The data is available through the website, a free API and a simple blocklist feed, so it can be used in firewall setups or together with tools like fail2ban, CrowdSec and UniFi.

Privacy matters here. AbuseTrack tracks abusive infrastructure, not the people who submit reports. Personal data is protected, and sensitive values are masked or hashed where needed. The project is operated in Europe and is built with that privacy-first approach from the start.

AbuseTrack is built and operated by Michael Ortner. The goal is an independent, open service that stays free for the community. Every report helps others spot attacks earlier and make better decisions.
